We were runnin' so fast we didn't see the mud...

B invited himself over to C's house and he came home looking like this! Apparently while playing in the backyard they found a bucket of water. They dumped the water and created the mud. When Holly noticed what they were doing she told them to stay out of it. The next thing she knew this is how they looked. B told her "We were runnin' so fast we didn't see the mud." Yeah, right. Lucky for them it is a nice 64 degree day in Feb. We hosed them off in the front yard, fully clothed and naked. We got quite a few stares and comments from neighbors. They were freezing. Now we are all bathed and toasty warm while the clothes, shoes and all, soak in the washer.
No, we did not spank them for choosing to disobey. I think being hosed off at 5 in the afternoon in Feb. was consequence enough. : ) They should have waited until July.
